We are delighted to introduce the Little School – a new, free section of our website for the youngest visitors to Lunina dolina and for every child who enjoys learning through play.

The Little School is a place where children consolidate what they know through short, friendly exercises and practise at their own pace – with no pressure, no marks and no time limits. The child simply enters their name and can begin. Progress is saved in the browser, so a child can pick up at any time exactly where they left off.

Please note: the Little School exercises are in Slovene.

What is available already?

The Little School currently offers the subject Mathematics with three exercises:

• Arithmetic – adjustable practice in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, with a friendly sheep abacus to help with smaller numbers.
• Times tables – practice of the times tables up to 10 or up to 20, with an overview of attempts and successes.
• Word problems – farm-themed word problems sorted into four difficulty levels. The child picks a level and the problems come up at random until every one has been solved correctly.

The Little School is still growing

This is only the beginning. Over the coming months the Little School will keep growing – new subjects are planned, among them Natural science (getting to know the plants and animals on the farm), Slovene (letters, words and first stories) and Physics (why things fall and how the world works). Every new subject will follow the same simple, child-friendly approach.
